NEW & FORTHCOMING

Wayne-Daniel’s newest book of poetry, Poetry Mage, is available via most online booksellers. (It features an introduction by the inimitable Paul Szlosek (Metaphysical Fox Press).

His YA novella, Kruul to Be Kynde, is slated for publication in July, 2025. A tale of fantasy/sci-fi, with an eye to our times, Kruul to Be Kynde is funny and poignant, simultaneously! (And features the most adorable and sassy cat/dog hybrid in the galaxy!) (Metaphysical Fox Press).

To mark his 20th published book, Wayne-Daniel and Metaphysical Fox Press will release his New and Selected Poems in fall of 2025. Stay tuned for more details!

And speaking of milestones: Having written and published in almost every genre - prose non-fiction, prose fiction including novel, novella, short story, memoir and poetry, Wayne-Daniel is currently trying his hand at drama! A verse play (in the tradition of Archibald MacLeish’s JB or TS Eliot’s Murder in the Cathedral is currently in process, entitled Finding Out You’re Jewish. To whet your appetite, a sample here. (The principal characters are Shalach and Tamar);

Shalach enters from stage left, standing in front of his zafu and mat. He faces the audience. Tamar sits in lotus position on her zafu facing the audience, hands in dhyana mudra on her lap.

Shalach: Shekinah is Pregnant with My Future

she smiles
at me from
burgundy
moon round
as the curve
of whisper
across the
pillow
she places
my hand
“there,” she
says nothing kicks
no elbows but
an astrolabe
ripples and
arcs across
my next day
and my next
and next to me
she presses
my cheek to
tomorrow
“yedid,” she
whispers

“friend”
I hum lekha
dodi resonate

together

“Come, my

Beloved.”

Song begins to play, “The In-Dwelling Presence” by Ashira. Tamar rises and dances to it across the stage.
